What you’ll need:
- A pencil
- A pencil sharpener
- Clear cellotape
- 10 minutes
Sharpen a pencil over a sheet of paper, remove the wooden peelings so you just have the grey flecks left. Rub your finger onto the grey flecks so they break up a little, then shake off the larger bits
Ask a family member to take their finger print, press the pad of their finger to grey pencil mark, rolling the finger side to side a little.
Take a small strip of clear sticky tape and place it on their finger, press it gently.
Peel the sticky tape off their finger and stick the tape onto a plain piece of white paper. You’ll see their finger print; write their name next to it.
Now try it with other members of your family, and don’t forget to do your own. Put names next to each one and see how different they all are. Everyone is unique.
