Duration:

25 minutes

You’ll need:

  • paper plates
  • colouring pens/pencils
  • Paints
  • Googly eyes
  • Wool/pipe cleaners

1.

Take your paper plates and draw an outline of a face – it can be your own or made-up. Decorate the mask and try to make it look as much like a real person as possible.

2.

Once you have created the face and finished decorating the mask, flip the plate over and start writing positive statements on the inside of the mask.

3.

  1. The aim of the activity is to focus on personal traits as well as physical appearance, so you can write words or phrases that do not focus on ‘physical’ beauty.

Examples of words:

  • Kind
  • Caring
  • Supportive
  • Fun
  • Energetic
  • Great at… (dancing, singing, football, baking etc.)
  • Funny

4.

Once everyone has finished host a mini-fashion show on Zoom. Get the girls to show their masks and read out some of the phrases they have written inside of the mask.
