Create a token for your friend (using salt dough and paint)
Time: two sessions – 30 minutes each
Materials: plain flour, salt, water, thread, paint, pens.
Each girl creates a token for the girl sitting next to her. While they mix, roll the dough and shape it, ask the girls what the token symbolises, what they think it will do for their friend, Including a positive thought, a compliment, a mantra for their friend.
After 7 days, the salt dough will be dry and ready to be painted and personalised. When gifting it to their friend each girl should repete the positive affirmation.
This can provide comfort and a sense of belonging whilst they might experience difficult moments, reminding them about their good qualities and that they have a friend.
